With a family legacy of property development, one could say that Gary has building in his blood. After completing a BSc in Engineering at the Maine Maritime Academy in the United States, Gary went on to work abroad for 11 years before returning to South Africa to join the family business.
Graeme joined ALW Properties in 2014 as a portfolio manager and in his time with the company has been responsible for overseeing the management of the group’s commercial, industrial, residential and retail property management as well as a number of portfolios of external shareholders, maximising investment returns and identifying new opportunities for his clients.
Following his studies at UCT, Rafael completed his SAICA Articles at KPMG during 2008, before moving on to hold finance positions at various institutions, including Servest Multiservice Group. Rafael spent the better part of a decade in the listed property environment at Redefine Properties where, amongst others, he filled the role of financial manager of the Industrial portfolio for two years, followed by another two years in the retail portfolio.
Mandy began her career at the South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation in 1997, where she focused on South Africa’s participation in international organisations, and serving abroad in Addis Ababa from 2001 until 2005, and in London from 2010 until 2013. Her international relations work allowed her to hone skills in strategic analysis and research, establishing effective stakeholder relations, advocacy, and the ability to work in diverse and multicultural environments.
Starting her career path as an administrator in 1993, Leticia was determined to follow her passion which saw her working her way up from data capturer, to bookkeeper to assistant accountant and finally to accountant during 10 years at Sandak-Lewin Trust. It was here that Leticia discovered another passion: commercial property management.
Alan qualified as a fitter and turner in 1993. After being involved in the motor vehicle industry for several years, he decided to branch into the commercial property and building development industry and started his own business in 2005. During the eight years running his business, Alan built up a wealth of experience and knowledge in the field and built a strong network of office developers in Gauteng.
Andrew began his career in 2011 within the human resources field working for KBC Health and Safety. After moving to Finlay and Associates management consultants in 2012, he progressed through various human resources and project management roles, until he found a niche within property management, assuming responsibility for the Fortress industrial portfolio in 2014.
