Cole van Beek
Portfolio Manager
Cole van Beek joined ALW Properties as our Portfolio Manager, bringing a fresh perspective and expertise to the team. In his role, Cole is dedicated to overseeing property portfolios, optimizing performance, and maximizing returns for clients.
He is committed to driving growth and delivering exceptional value to ALW Properties’ clients through his strategic insights and dedication.
Outside of work, Cole enjoys golf and padel, which complement his balanced lifestyle.
Leslie Fivas
Financial Manager
Rhodesian-born Leslie began his career in finance with the Department of Customs and Excise in 1977, immigrating to South Africa in 1982. He worked at various mining corporations in a financial capacity, until a desire to experience a different industry saw him hold the post of Group Accountant and eventually Group Financial Manager for Malbak Motor Holdings.
In 1997, Leslie took up the post of Group Financial Manager for Wheels of Africa and then for Ricoh Group in 2000. In 2013, he decided to become his own boss and worked as a financial consultant. It was during an assignment with ALW Properties in August 2015 that Leslie was invited to stay on as Financial Manager on a permanent basis and was welcomed to our team in April 2016.
Leslie is an asset to the company, with a wealth of accounting and financial experience which benefits both the company itself as well as its stakeholders.
Hope Tshilate
Office Administration
After matriculating in 2007, Hope obtained a computer diploma in 2008 and studied human resource management during 2012, completing her N4, N5 and N6 national diplomas at the Vhembe TVET College in Limpopo. She worked in various roles ranging from hospitality, education and administration. In 2016, she joined The Cleaning Lady in Johannesburg where she remained for 3 years.
Hope joined ALW in 2019 as a General Office Assistant and has become an indispensable part of the teams daily operations.
Lucas Mothlake
Lucas has a natural talent for hands-on work. After 10 years as a handyman and salesman at Carlton Centre, he joined ALW Properties in 2009. His dedication and work ethic saw him rise to the role of Maintenance Manager. Lucas now runs his own company, Sikhona Maintenance Projects, a trusted maintenance partner to ALW Properties. He continues to lead a skilled team, ensuring all properties are maintained to the highest standard. Known for his reliability and commitment, Lucas remains a valued part of the ALW Properties family.
Naledi Nkosi
Finance and Accounts
Naledi began her career working in a small chemical and distribution company as a secretary where she discovered her love for bookkeeping. She sought to build up her bookkeeping skills by undertaking training in Pastel and payroll and subsequently was hired as a bookkeeper at a property management company where she was exposed to the financial ins and outs of property management. Naledi joined the Finance and Accounts team at ALW in October 2020.
Ashni Vengetass
Property Administrator
After matriculating in 2018, Ashni went on to study at the University of Witwatersrand, where she graduated with a BSc in Property Studies with Honours in 2022.
Ashni then went on to complete a two-year internship in property management where she gained hands-on experience working across different aspects of the industry.
Ashni joined ALW Properties in 2025 and in her current role as a Property Administrator she assists the Property Manager in maintaining smooth, efficient operations to optimize property performance with precise lease management and strong tenant support.
Frans Lubbe
Facilities | Operations Manager
With over six years of experience in Facilities, Operations, and Maintenance Management, Frans thrives in fast-paced environments where creative problem-solving is key. His career began in the retail sector as a General Manager, where he developed strong leadership and team management skills before transitioning into operations.
Frans is focused on optimizing asset performance to ensure operational efficiency and enable long-term growth. He is passionate about continuous learning and regularly explores best practices and innovations in facilities management.
Outside of work, Frans enjoys spending quality time with family and friends and finds excitement in riding off-road enduro bikes.
Raphael Ngwenya
Finance & Accounts
After matriculating in 2017, Raphael did some voluntary community service whilst waitering for a catering company, to gain some work experience. Raphael joined ALW in 2018 as an intern, quickly learning the ropes in reception, filing, and financial record keeping. Raphaels affable and dependable manner is a valued asset to the team.
He currently functions as an Accounts Intern and Filing Clerk, studying for a Diploma in Financial Accounting with ICB through Boston College.
Cindy Ngubane
Receptionist
As the first point of contact at Atholl Towers, Cindy warmly welcomes every visitor and tenant, ensuring prompt and professional assistance. With strong communication skills and a focus on efficiency, she supports the smooth daily operations of the building. Cindy manages inquiries, coordinates access, and assists tenants, all while working closely with the building management team to maintain seamless procedures.
Building Manager
Atholl Towers – Building Manager
Rudolph oversees the day-to-day operations of Atholl Towers, ensuring the property remains well-maintained, secure, and always operates efficiently. With a hands-on approach and a strong focus on tenant satisfaction, he proactively coordinates maintenance schedules and responds promptly to any building-related issues. Rudolph’s dedication and attention to detail help create a safe, comfortable environment that supports the needs of all tenants and visitors.
Colbert Rovhoro
Atholl Towers – Caretaker
With years of experience in commercial property maintenance, Colbert works closely with the building manager to ensure that every aspect of the building runs smoothly and efficiently. From routine inspections to handling repairs, he takes pride in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all tenants and visitors.
Sipho Thabethe
Volkswagen Building – Caretaker
Sipho is the dedicated caretaker to the modern commercial building neighbouring Atholl Towers, home to one of the leading names in the automotive industry. With a strong background in commercial property maintenance and a commitment to high standards, he ensures the building remains secure, efficient, and perfectly maintained to support the tenant’s dynamic operations.
Freddy Malewa
The Galleria – Caretaker
As caretaker of The Galleria, a mixed-use property combining residential and retail spaces, Freddy ensures the smooth operation, cleanliness, and safety of the entire building. With a proactive and approachable attitude, he supports both residents and commercial tenants, coordinate maintenance tasks, and help maintain a high standard of service across the property.
Pride Dlamini
39 Empire – Caretaker
Pride serves as the on-site caretaker for a commercial property, working closely with the body corporate to ensure the building is well-maintained, secure, and running efficiently. With a hands-on approach and a strong focus on service and safety, Pride oversees day-to-day operations, coordinates maintenance and repairs, and supports the needs of tenants and contractors alike. His reliability and attention to detail help keep the property functioning at its best.
Stranger Seshaba
Sikhona Maintenance Projects – Maintenance Team
Stranger joined the company in 2011 straight after finishing school and has grown into a skilled and dependable maintenance professional. Over the years, he has gained hands-on experience across a wide range of services and is especially skilled in scaffolding services. Known for his strong work ethic and steady growth, Stranger continues to be a valuable part of the team.

With over a decade of dedicated service, Aleck brings extensive experience in repairs and maintenance. He previously worked for a scaffolding solutions company, where he developed strong skills in structural work. Aleck specializes in waterproofing, welding, and equipment assembly, and is known for his precision, reliability, and commitment to safety.
